Choosing a foreign Residency
Now that you are thinking that you might experience overseas living, where in the event you go? The solution depends on many considerations. When choosing a new home, think about the following: Which countries will accept new residents? Some people have a rather egocentric view and think that we’d be welcomed anywhere, but the fact is many countries do not offer residency. Seek information ahead of time to discover the countries that will accept newcomers out of your home country. Also for consideration is the amount of time, effort and cash that every country requires for residency. All of them vary greatly. What is the weather like? What do you prefer, perpetual sun? Four seasons? Is it something you are utilized to or can get used to?. Likewise, if aren’t confident with long periods of cold temperature and snow, you might like to avoid countries in parts of Europe. Would you speak the word what? If not, will you be prepared to learn it? Considerable time and energy would need to get into learning a new language. Could it be reasonable to think that you would actually do it? Culture. Is the culture one which you are familiar with, appreciate and would enjoy being part of? We often ignore the everyday interactions we now have in our home country. Would you be comfortable living overseas in a totally different culture?
